Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as a Requirements Verifications Systems Engineer based out of Colorado Springs, CO or Huntsville, AL.

What You’ll get to Do:

This position is for a Requirements Verification Systems Engineer on a large effort involving both hardware and software development. The Engineer will analyze requirements and specifications at multiple levels and work with multiple IPTs to develop detailed verification activities resulting in a successful requirements verification execution. Verification planning artifacts and requirements will be developed collaboratively in industry-standard configuration management and system modeling tools.

This role may include filling in on the programmatic side (CAM duties – schedule, highlights, status, etc.), as well as the technical side (technical direction, ensuring work is completing on time, troubleshooting, reviewing, etc.) when needed.

This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below

Qualifications

This requisition may be filled at either a Principal Level or a Sr. Principal Level.

Basic Qualifications of a Principal Systems Engineer, Requirements Verifications are:

  • Current Secret security clearance required with an investigation within the past 6 years
  • 5 years of System Engineering experience with a Bachelors of Science in a STEM discipline; 3 years of System Engineering experience with Masters; 0 Years with a PhD
  • Experience with verification planning

Basic Qualifications of a Sr. Principal Systems Engineer, Requirements Verifications are:

  • Current Secret security clearance required with an investigation within the past 6 years
  • 9 years of System Engineering experience with a Bachelors of Science in a STEM discipline; 7 years of System Engineering experience with Masters; 4 Years with a PhD
  • Experience with verification planning

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering concepts, tools, and languages.
  • Experience on large, vertically integrated, and cross-functional programs.
  • Experience with DOORS.
  • Demonstrated ability to succeed in a fast-paced, cost-constrained environment
  • Motivated, self-starter who takes ownership for success of his/her products
